June 19th

So, here we are, knee deep into another Sunday. Dark and blustery start to the day here and when we spoke, it looked like it was going to chuck it down... again.  Ah yes, British summer time at it's best.  You can tell me the truth... you miss it don't you?  It's the longest day here on Tuesday, (is it the longest day everywhere?) and then the nights start to draw in again, already!  Can you believe it?  I really like going to work in daylight, still, I have a good few months before it's totally pitch dark again on my drive in so I'll enjoy it while I can.

Jogged for 40 minutes this morning and then indulged in a breakfast of scrambled eggs on rustic wholemeal.  Well, I made the rustic part up, although my cutting technique, rough and artless, probably fits pretty well with the rustic theme.  Wouldn't normally have something so big to kick off the day but need to use up the eggs and they're chock full of good fats right?

Coffee is good this morning, the filter wasn't quite, well, filtered when I ordered so lovely barista who always remembers my order and how I like it, offers to bring it over when it's ready, (I don't know her name yet as she's new.)  She appears by my side a few short minutes later with my filter topped off with a little hot skimmed milk and tells me she tried to make the foamy part into a nice shape for me but it didn't quite come off.  (I quickly decided not to tell her about the fern shape that topped our coffees in NZ, instead,) I pointed out the stunning resemblance of my foam to a fluffy white cloud so, we're all good.

Actually feeling a bit tired this morning, which is weird as I slept great and the exercise should have me alive with endorphins, plus the eggs, I should be the epitome of well being today.

Watched the pilates/yoga channel this morning for a while then flipped over to "10 Years Younger US", the woman was given a makeover just in the nick of time but apart from the dire need for the makeover, she also seemed quite depressed so, I almost slid off the sofa when they said she was a comedian.  Comedians are allowed to have blue day's though and they did a good job of the makeover, I would still sack the stylist though.

Think I'm going to aim to fill at least one large bag for charity this afternoon.  I haven't done any de-cluttering for a few weeks and as I mentioned earlier, I really need to tackle the work pants situation.  I can't go on wearing the same, so-comfy-and-big-it-feels-and-looks-like-I'm-wearing-PJ's, that I wear all the time.

Wearing long sleeved T, gillet, jeans, Pandora, scarf today and now, the sun is trying to make a break for it and I wonder how long it'll be before the sun is engulfed in dense cloud again?  In the meantime, I'm quite happy to swelter!

Recycling beckons with the usual, "car wash lady?" thrown in my direction as I sort my plastics from my cardboard from my glass in the car park.

I did watch, "Murder by Death" yesterday.  If you're in the mood for something funny, totally ridiculous and ever so slightly non-politically correct, then you should look out for it, it's chock full of stars and it's just so wrong in every way, you can't imagine it being made these days so, a bit of a reluctant gem but I hope you catch it sometime.

The Glee series finale is on later, I've tried to resist but may have to watch for research purposes only ;)

Love you x
