Yes, it's Wednesday

As you can probably tell, I'm off today and actually, I'm off for the rest of the week.  This is coming off my main summer holidays so I don't feel too guilty.  Glad to be off for a few days, I've had a bit of a sore throat since the weekend and felt a bit funny after working out this morning so good to be able to do just what I feel like today!

According to the fabulous Sally Brompton; "Cosmic activity in the most sensitive area of your chart, (my chart,) means you won't be able to hide your emotions this week. And why would you want to? There is nothing wrong with showing your feelings -- and everything right."

The problem with that is, I'm more of the; "play your cards close to you chest" kind of Leo. This could be interesting.

Going to take advantage of being off this afternoon and watch Andy Murray in his latest Wimbledon round.  Of course I'm cheering Andy on but while I'm watching, I can also see what all the fuss is about  his opponent Mr Lopez.  Even AM's Mum has admitted to having a crush on Mr Lopez so it would be rude not, to don't you think?

George Clooney hasn't even uttered the second syllable of  the word; "single" yet and he's already been linked with Sandra Bullock.  Now that would be one cute couple.

I have almost filled another journal writing to you and so I went on a hunt last night for an empty or part filled book to take over until I can pay a visit to Paperchase to restock.  I came across my smaller, jade coloured, leather bound journal that I bought for my NZ trip. I had big ideas of capturing every travelling moment but I obviously either didn't pack my writing mojo or I was having too good a time even think about picking up a pen and so ... it's largely empty.

Still, there is a little writing and I thought you might enjoy an extract.

Not a bit organised this morning, not off that treadmill as much as I would have hoped but plenty of time yet.  Travelling MAN - LHR - LAX - AUCKLAND.  Flying to LHR, I picture that scene from "The Twilight Zone", pretty sure John Lithgow starred, the one with the gremlin yanking the plane engine off mid-flight?  Then, I buy water at LHR, just after your text to say; "try not to sit next to a crazy person," (you know me so well,) and I'm thinking of the "CSI" episode were bottles of water have been poisoned.  Then, I take the bus to transfer terminals at LHR and I'm imagining that scene in "Speed" were the hostage on the bus says; "but I've already seen the airport."

Coming into land at Auckland, I saw the most beautiful sunrise I have ever seen.  At home, it's almost pink, here, it's a rich and vibrant orange that faded into the most perfect blue sky.  The expanse of water beneath was amazing and the cloud formation almost appeared as if ice sculptures floating above the water.  It felt nearer to heaven somehow.  As we came into land, the sky turned to a deep pink, almost red with dark grey clouds - just beautiful.
